ABOUT ME
Seeking counselling can be transformative, but it can also feel daunting—especially if, like me, you come from a culture where therapy hasn’t always been viewed as supportive. When I first looked for a counsellor, I wrestled with fear, anxiety, and worries about being judged or appearing weak. After years in practice, I often hear people ask, “How do I find a therapist who truly understands me and can create a healing space that feels right?” That’s where I come in: I draw on my training, experience, and compassion to help you decide whether counselling is the next step for you.
I work from a person-centered, trauma-informed lens and incorporate several evidence-based approaches, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), AEDP (Level 2), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), somatic processing, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Simon Fraser University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and my graduate research explored social and emotional development in young adults. My goal is to offer a safe, kind, and non-judgmental environment where you can heal and grow.
With years of experience supporting adults, youth, and couples, I bring a culturally sensitive, dynamic approach to every session. If you’re ready to talk, reach out to Hope For Today Counselling Services. Let’s take the next step toward your well-being together.
